Wajam is a social search extension for your browser. You and your friends share lots of great content on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Wajam lets you find that content when you search with Google, Bing, Yahoo, Amazon, Facebook Twitter and Blekko.
You can use Wajam with Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer.
You can search in Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Blekko, Amazon, Yelp, Trip Advisor, IMDB, Wikipedia, Ebay, Overstock, Ask, Best Buy, Shopping.com, Mahalo, and Walmart.
At the moment, you can only log-in with your Facebook or Twitter accounts.
When you do a search in Google, Bing, Yahoo, Amazon, Facebook Twitter or Blekko, you'll find your most relevant Wajam result at the top of your search results. Along with this result you'll find information about who shared the item, any comments they made about it, and how many other friends also shared that same piece of content. Above your top Wajam result, you'll find a breakdown of friends who have shared the most content that's related to your search. If you've saved or shared any results that are related to your search term then you'll be listed first, so it's easy to find your content again. To see your top 11 Wajam results for your search term, click View more results from friends. To see results for your search term that were shared by a specific friend, click on their name if it appears above your Wajam result, or click on +317 friends (number taken from image above). If a Wajam result was shared by multiple people, you will see Shared by # friends next to the URL. Click on this link to see all the comments about the item. To sort your results by newest or oldest, click Options, then click Newest or Oldest. To filter results by source, click Options, then click on the source(s) that you'd like to filter out. All of the sources that you've added that have relevant results for your search term will automatically be selected. Not finding what you're looking for? Try clicking on one of the search terms under your top result.
When you click on a Wajam result you'll see the Wajam toolbar at the top of the web page. The toolbar shows you who shared the content and what they said about it. If more than 1 person shared it just click on and # others to read their comments. To share this Wajam search result, just click on the Facebook or Twitter icon. The link will automatically be shortened to a waj.am link. To share the link by email click on the Facebook or Twitter icon, then click on Email, or you can get the short url by clicking on URL.
If you just signed up, be patient! It takes Wajam some time to finish indexing all of your content, so you may not be getting complete results at first. You also may not always have Wajam results for your search term. To increase your chances of finding Wajam search results, try using a more general search term, or try adding more sources for Wajam to index. Wajam may also suggest Twitter users that you can follow to find social search results for your search term.
You can add your Facebook, Twitter and/or your Google+ account.
First, make sure you’re on your dashboard. You can get to your dashboard by clicking the dashboard icon at the top right of your Wajam account. Click on the name of the source you wish to remove in the friends area.

You will be prompted to accept permissions to access your Twitter account. Once you’ve accepted permissions, you will return to your Wajam dashboard with your Twitter contacts loaded.

You will be prompted to enter your Gmail address and password. After you click “Add Google+”, you will return to your Wajam dashboard with your Google Plus contacts loaded.
Click the button with your name on it in the top right corner of you Wajam account. Then click on “settings” in the drop-down menu.
Simply click the “install Wajam for free” button and follow the instructions in your browser. After your browser restarts, you will be prompted to connect with Facebook or Twitter. After you’ve connected, you will have created your Wajam account. When you search, you will find results from your friends.
If you’ve uninstalled Wajam, you can re-install from the download tab below your Wajam dashboard. You can also re-install from the home page by simply clicking the “install Wajam for free” button.
For Firefox: Click the Tools menu and select Add-ons. In the Add-ons window, click the Extensions panel. Select Wajam and click Disable or Uninstall. For Chrome: Click the Tools menu. Select Extensions. Click Disable or Uninstall. For Safari: Click Settings button. Select Preferences. Select Extensions. Uncheck Enable Wajam or click Uninstall. For Internet Explorer: Click the Tools menu and select Manage Add-ons. In the Manage Add-ons window, select Wajam. Click on Disable.
Wajam never shares your browsing history or search history. If you import your bookmarks from your browser or Delicious they won't be shared with anyone. Read our full Privacy policy.
You can only log into Wajam with your Twitter account if you first signed up with Twitter. If you created your account with Twitter, you can login by clicking on “Login” at the top right corner of the Wajam home page and then clicking the Twitter button. If you aren't already logged in you'll be redirected to Twitter, where you will be prompted to enter your login information.
Click “Login” at the top right corner of the Wajam home page, then click the Facebook button. If you aren't already logged in you'll be redirected to Facebook, where you will be prompted to enter your login information.
